The flash butt welding is the method of joining two structural members by pressure welding. Prior to welding, the joining surfaces are heated by the application of the arc heat generated when the two structural members into which a high-amperage current flows are brought closer to each other.
Joining can be done in a short time. This welding method features in that it allows the manufacture of uniform products with minimum variation in welding strength.
